When attempting to join the server, make sure that the selection "Server Resource Packs" is Enabled.
Having the MBL Client is high encouraged due to it allowing for the ball to be seen at a much higher distance. Without it, gameplay is very difficult, and this will truly make your experience on the Minecraft Baseball League much more enjoyable! The Client can be found in the #announcements and #information section in the discord!
